Portal

Lübeck’s Holstentor, a landmark famous enough to once have made it onto Deutschmark bills. Its obvious lack of plumbness and hence a certain relation to Pisa’s tower, is due to, for one, its weight as a massive stone building, and, for another, to the area’s rather swampy ground (the portal has been built more or less straightly into the Trave river).
