About two seconds after the detonation, you could catch the old water tower while just half-way blasted. What followed was, besides, an intense dust cloud. Lethal to any technical gadget, we photographers were lucky, as we had kindly been warned to be ready and protect our equipment. That succeeded, however, at the price of deep-cleaning rain coats.

Soon after the explosion, the tower’s dome is being inspected. It was intended to become a museal exhibit, but the damage was too big.
